I'm a travel psychiatric nurse with TNS and I'm currently in Seattle, Washington on a 13-week contract. Drew Harding is my recruiter and I have worked with him since 2019. Drew not only listens to my interests but also advocates for safe assignments and the best pay possible. He is always honest, has talked me through the process of travel nursing when I first started traveling, has given me much-needed advice, and has become more than just my recruiter, he’s become a great friend as well! I told Drew that I would like to explore the west coast and was able to get a contract in West Seattle and I fell in love with the Pacific Northwest! I work 12 hour days and on my days off I have found that I love hiking the mountains with my dog. I have made a few close friends who have shown me the ropes of surviving in the cold, rainy months of Seattle’s winters. I have been to the Pacific Ocean, have hiked more in the last three months than I have in the 25 years that I have been alive, and have been able to check out the local breweries and wineries that have recently opened up. The state was on lockdown when I arrived but with all the outdoor activities, I haven’t found myself bored. I have fallen in love with Washington State and once I hang up my travel shoes I would like to come back here to settle down. I can’t thank Trusted Nurse Staffing and Drew enough for this adventure!

This is my first introduction and experience with a Travel Nursing Organization. To be brief, I was contacted by my recruiter, Elyssabeth, who explained the entire process of becoming a nurse for Trusted Nurse Staffing. I've been with TNS for almost a year now and have nothing but great things to say about my recruiter and compliance associate! I love travel nursing because I am able to go into any facility learn a number of new things and focus on providing great patient care, rather than dealing with facility politics. It also gives me the chance to plan and go on great trips with my boys, that I was never able to do before.

I grew up in Missouri, but my husband is from Oklahoma so that was part of the reason I started nursing here. I really find the people and nurses are some of the nicest and down to earth that I have met out of all the assignments I've been on.

My start as a travel RRT was unique, as within 2 weeks of connecting with Trusted Nurse Staffing I was on my way to my first contract, my home in NY was sold and I bought a new home in Mississippi. I love the fact I can walk out my door and see the Gulf within a couple of hundred feet and don't miss the snow of NY. They have been able to get assignments at each of my desired destinations and it’s a small enough company that you aren’t just a number to them. California has mandated ratios and breaks that are covered by dedicated break nurses. The multifaceted team approach is apparent in California and less so RN dependent. Respiratory takes care of EKG EEG and ABG. Phlebotomy draws labs when ordered and resource nurses are available to help when your day gets busy. The resounding support for in hospital nurses in California is nothing short of extraordinary.

I have been with Trusted Nurse Staffing for almost 2 years. My Recruiter Tim has backed me at every moment, he has been absolutely phenomenal to me. I have been in the Phoenix area for about three years working as a travel respiratory therapist and it’s been amazing. The area is beautiful, the weather is amazing throughout of the year and the hospital I’ve been working at is great. They treat me as if I’m part of their team and not just an outsider coming in to work. My recruiter Drew has made everything so easy with my contracts. Being on assignment in Alabama has been great and there is always something to do! There are tons of great places to go shopping, and get some good food. I enjoy taking a lot of hikes and walks here. There's a lot of lakes, rivers, dams etc to see and explore.
